One of the best things about having an iPhone is all the apps one can apply. Loads of them are free, and the ones that aren’t free are really cheap. Over 300,000 apps are online to choose from and some could be valuable tools to use in day-to-day lives. Here’s a list of 8 apps that everyone should download.
- LED Flashlight app – this turns the phone’s built-in flash into a mini flashlight, and we all know how that comes in handy. Other flashlight apps simply light the home screen, but this one uses a bona fide light. (Free)
- If a user has a Facebook page, there’s a free app that’ll put the social site on the home screen, making updated statuses easier. (Free)
- AIM is an instant messenger that not only lets the user communicate in another way on the iPhone, but it has functionality to post updates on Facebook, Twitter, Lifestream and MySpace. ($2.99)
- Siri Assistant is a virtual assistant that can do a number of things for the user. This app is so cool that Apple paid millions for it last year. It can make reservations at a hotel, remind the user to call their mother, and lots of other things. (Free)
- AroundMe is an app that will tell a user where they are and what’s in the area around them (stores, restaurants, etc). Great for traveling. (Free)
- Almost every bank has an app that lets the user transfer funds from one account to another, find the nearest ATM, or whatever the banking need is. (Free)
- RedLaser has got to be the coolest! Scan a bar code with the iPhone camera and it not only identifies the product but tells where it is and who has it cheapest! (Free)
- The most downloaded app is a game called Angry Birds. Pigs have stolen the birds’ eggs again, and those birds are angry! It only takes once and the game is addictive. (Free)
